99Trip in your AI assistant

99Trip runs an MCP server, the open standard that Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants use to connect to apps. Connect it, and your assistant can plan with 99Trip’s published itineraries, destination guides and country essentials, then link you to the pages it used. It is free and needs no account or key.

Server address

https://api.99trip.app/mcp

Streamable HTTP. No sign-in.

What your assistant can do

  • Find a destination and read its 99Trip guide: how long people stay, the stops most itineraries include, festivals and seasons. (find_destinations, get_destination_guide)
  • Search published itineraries for a city by length, and read one day by day with its notes. (search_itineraries, get_itinerary)
  • Explain a stop: what it is, where it is, and how real itineraries fit it into a day. (get_place)
  • List the stops of a city that itineraries visit most, to choose from one by one. (list_city_stops)
  • Country essentials: emergency numbers, plugs, money, getting in from the airport, key phrases, safety and public holidays. (get_country_essentials)
  • Pick a random place from a real itinerary, for inspiration. (surprise_me)

It also offers two ready-made requests, “Plan a trip from real itineraries” and “Before you go”, and lets you attach an itinerary to a conversation.

Connect it

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Claude’s connector settings with 99Trip filled in, or go to Settings, then Connectors, then “Add custom connector”.
  2. Use the name 99Trip and the server address above. Leave the sign-in fields empty.
  3. In a chat, turn 99Trip on from the tools menu and ask, for example, “Plan three days in Amman from real itineraries.”

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds connectors for the organization. The connector works on Claude’s mobile apps once it is added on the web or the desktop app.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http 99trip https://api.99trip.app/mcp

ChatGPT

Where your plan offers developer mode, turn it on in ChatGPT’s settings and create an app with the server address above, without authentication.

VS Code

Add this to .vscode/mcp.json in your project, or to your user MCP configuration:

{
  "servers": {
    "99trip": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.99trip.app/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "99trip": {
      "url": "https://api.99trip.app/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Other assistants

Any client that connects to remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the address above with no authentication.

What it does not do yet

  • It only reads. Saving, copying and editing trips happen on 99Trip itself, with a free account: open any link your assistant gives you.
  • It books nothing and takes no payments. Bookable tours appear without details; their itinerary page has them.
  • It does not cover visa and entry rules. Check those with the official government source.

Fair use and privacy

The server is free to use within a rate limit per address. For each request it logs which tool was called, how long it took and which assistant app called it. It does not log what you asked or the words your assistant sent. Your conversation itself is covered by your assistant’s own terms. See our privacy policy.
