Delete your 99Trip account

You can delete your 99Trip account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: there is no grace period, nothing is archived, and the account cannot be restored afterwards.

Before you delete: if you only want to stop sharing, you do not need to delete your account. Unpublish individual trips, or set your traveler profile to private, on the profile page instead.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open the 99Trip app, or sign in at 99trip.app.
  2. Tap your avatar in the top bar and choose Profile.
  3. Open the Delete account tab.
  4. Confirm your password, or — if you sign in with Google — skip this step.
  5. Type DELETE in the confirmation box and press Delete my account.

Your account is erased straight away and you are signed out. The app is safe to uninstall after that.

Delete it by email

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@99trip.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you, delete the account within 30 days, and email you when it is done.

What is deleted

Everything below is removed permanently, in a single operation:

  • Your account: name, email address and password.
  • Your profile: photo, bio, home location, travel interests and visibility setting.
  • Every trip you own, with its days, stops, notes, groups, destinations and cover photos — published or not.
  • Your membership of trips other people own.
  • Trip invitations you sent or received, including invitations to email addresses that never registered.
  • Your reactions, saved items and trip chat messages.
  • Messages you sent to the Rafiq trip assistant, and any AI itinerary generation history.
  • Your linked Google account, if you had one.
  • All sign-in and password-reset tokens.
  • Files you uploaded, including your profile photo.

People you shared with lose access too. A trip you own is deleted with your account, even if you invited other people to it. If you want a trip to outlive your account, ask a member to clone it into their own account before you delete yours.

What is kept

  • Copies other people made. If someone cloned one of your published trips, their copy is theirs and stays with them. It no longer names or links to you.
  • Server logs containing the IP addresses of requests, for up to 90 days, for security and fault investigation. They are not linked to your account once it is gone.
  • Aggregate analytics that were never tied to your identity in the first place, such as counts of page views.
  • Backups may briefly contain your data until they are overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle. They are never used to restore a deleted account.
